Animatica receives EU funding to advance AI for character animation

Paweł Pierzchlewicz
CEO
Today we're excited to share that Animatica has received funding from the European Union to support the development of our AI-powered character animation technology.
This grant is a significant milestone for us. It validates the technical direction we've been pursuing — building generative models that give animators real creative control over AI-generated motion — and provides the resources to accelerate our roadmap.
The funding will support three key areas of our work. First, fundamental research: advancing the generative architectures that power our motion synthesis, with a focus on physical plausibility and directability. Second, production readiness: building the inference infrastructure and tooling needed to bring our models into real animation workflows. Third, growing the team: hiring researchers and engineers who want to work at the frontier of AI and creative tools.
The European Union has been increasingly focused on supporting AI companies that develop technology with real-world applications and responsible practices. We're proud to be part of that ecosystem, and we take the responsibility seriously.
For our users and partners, this means faster progress. We'll be able to invest more deeply in model quality, expand our compute resources, and move more quickly toward the product we've been building toward.
For potential team members, this is a good time to join. We're hiring for both ML Engineering and ML Research roles, and this funding gives us the runway to build the team we need. If you're interested, take a look at our careers page.
We're grateful to the EU for this support, and to everyone who has believed in what we're building. More updates soon.
