Animatica is building AI that generates realistic, directable character motion from sparse creative input. We're a small research team solving hard problems at the intersection of generative modelling, 3D animation, and interactive tooling.

Why Animatica

The problem

Character animation is one of the most time-consuming parts of any production pipeline. A single second of polished motion can take hours of manual work. Current AI approaches either ignore creative intent or produce motion that doesn't meet production standards. We're building a system where the animator stays in control and the AI does the heavy lifting.

The team

We're a small, focused team — an AI researcher with publications at NeurIPS and ICLR, and an Emmy-nominated VFX supervisor with 15+ years on Hollywood productions and AAA games. You'll work directly with the founders from day one.

The stage

Early. The core technology works and we're building toward product. This is the point where every decision matters and every person shapes the trajectory. You won't be maintaining — you'll be creating.

The work

Technically deep, creatively grounded. Our models touch real geometry, real physics, and real artistic judgment. If you want to work on generative AI that has to be correct — not just plausible — this is the place.

On-site in Gdańsk

Our research team works together in person. Hard problems move faster at a whiteboard than in a thread.

No standups for the sake of standups. We trust people to manage their own time and communicate when it matters.

We publish and we ship. Models aren't done when the paper is submitted — they're done when animators use them.
